Sup Packs Armors with Changing Effects need a toggle, from a "Whale" - I can't buy these anymore

I use a whale in quotes because, I have only spent maybe 3k to 4k since beta, I think I have around 6 or 7k hours into POE. I am not saying this to flex but to illustrate that I like to spend money with you GGG.

I love the game, I am pretty casual I guess, but I love MTX, Fashion Game is the Real Game :P

Anyways, I haven't been buying some of the Supporter packs recently because I just strongly dislike the FORCED animations. They REALLY need a toggle.

I bought the base Lithomancer, but not the armor because well, I love the armor but I hate the constant Armor animation of it breaking etc.
Same for Enchanted Armour , I just can't constantly deal with the animation. In both cases I love the armor models and would 100% buy if it wasn't for the animations with it.

Moving on the new supporter packs, the exact same issues, Ferryman's Armour is cool but I don't need MORE STUFF, covering up the ground. Let me turn that off. Same for Cathedral Armour, love how it looks but the dimming and brightening, please let me just toggle it off, the dimming portion I mean, I don't mind the effects, Its the CONSTANT animations that really clutter and distract imo.

I want to buy these packs but I can't bring myself to. Usually I buy both at the highest tiers at this point in my life. I can't do these animations though.

It seems like this is the path GGG is going down for supporter packs, and if that is the case PLEASE add a toggle to this.

I tend to post a lot not all the time i get responses. Sometimes i tend to just silently lurk. Its the nature of online forums.

How can they be so presumably unaware of this massive issue they are making worse with every major MTX release.

Annoying other players isn't something i want to give GGG money for, Though there are plenty of people on the opposite side of the equation like the knight pack pedastal where people chase you around in town to stand on top of you or other stuff like the bear/etc.

This is the worst game i've played in terms of selling people literal tools to annoy other players and i've played a lot of F2P games with microstransactions.

+1, more options are good, but I can see this being difficult to implement. I suggested the ability to have a "town/hideout" MTX set and then be able to auto-switch to a more plain set when in combat areas. Some MTX I just cannot use in combat because they block the area of the minimap too much because I always use the overlay. Sad.

+1, I imagine the animations sell well as they "pop" but I'd just like more nice-looking armour sets. An off switch is perhaps a good compromise.

Not the OP's point exactly but I'd likewise like to see more MTX which not only don't animate but don't glow. There's a lot of neon, a lot of things on fire, a lot of scrolly space textures, and a lot of fluorescent crystals or inset gems. But some of my favourite armour sets just show off the tremendous design skills of GGG's artists and look frickin' awesome as a result.

Less can indeed be so much more sometimes especially when it comes to personal taste.
