Game unplayable since last patch

OK what do I need to change to get the game playable again? I just updated the game and I was getting an average of 60 fps before the patch in maps. Now I get 0 to 5 fps?????? This is completely unplayable.

Theres no way that a patch can make a game completely unplayable. There has to be a setting somewhere. This is BAD. For the first time, I am trying to uninstall and reinstall the game. I have NEVER had to do this before and I've been playing since PoE went live.
