did they say anything about passives?

i had a very hard day at work and i was watching exilecon video and fell asleep from exhaustion.

did they mention what they are doing with the passive tree in poe 2?

will it be just as big, bigger or smaller in poe 2?

currently i have a hard time playing this game i get overwhelmed by the scope and lack of direction provided to me by the passive skill tree.

im not saying its bad, im just saying its very hard for me to get into the game because of it. i played the game to level 71 on standard and i like everything about it.

anyway, did they mention anything about it in exilecon? google showed me the skills redesign but i cant find anything about the passive tree?

They didn't talk about the skill tree specifically save for the dual spec thing, but the trailer mentioned 1500 passives and the website mentioned 2000 passives, on top of the dual spec abilities and the teaser that you might get a whole ass second tree for shapeshifting forms. Complexity appears to be increasing, not decreasing, but given all the other ways Grinding Gear has been looking to add depth while addressing unintuitive clunkiness, I wouldn't give up hope yet.

awwww, i really like the systems in the game, i even like the idea of the passive tree, its just i open it up, have a panic attack and close it and stop using it.

its very hard to actually spec passives with such small amount of direction, at least for me, and this is a me problem, im not saying the game is bad, or anything should change. but i really wanna play poe, its just the entrance learning curve is a vertical line straight to the moon.
Have you tried following a build guide?
Check out streamer zizaran for instance, he makes good begginner to advanced build guides.
After you have a few level 90+ characters under your belt the passive tree will feel better.
