+1 spell gem recipe not working

For some reason, the +1 fire gem weapon recipe isn't working, but only for one specific scepter.

Every scepter I've tried is white, several have crucible trees assigned. I'm using the same combination of quality fire gems for all of them.

Every one EXCEPT the one I want to use (due to a favorable crucible tree) is correctly returning a scepter with +1 fire gems.

What can I possibly be missing here?!

I found out the answer. Apparently there's a bug where if an item has a +quality node assigned on the crucible tree, that keeps it from working.

For some reason...

Scouring that node let me use the scepter for the recipe, and now I can re-level the crucible tree. Was hoping I'd be able to craft it after the league ends, but I guess that's not going to be possible.

So thanks for that, GGG. Also, fix your game. One of my friends had to quit playing last night because the recent patch made it pretty much unplayable.
