Voidstones

Hi All,
returning after a few years and i'm confused about voidstones. Ive socketed 2 in my atlas that, for example, has raised a jungle valley map from a 12 to a 16, yet when i run a map from my stash (Jungle valley lvl 12, it stays a 12 and says monster level 79 on the info tab) Do i need to activate something else or does it mean that jungle valley maps will now drop at 16? Jungle Valleys will now drop T16.
