Steam deck stopped playing POE after july update

After this months update that introduced poe 2 like features broke poe on my steam deck. First it gave this error " unsupported backbuffer image count " then i tried different proton versions and verifying files and even reinstalled the game but it does not launch anymore. Before update it was working great and i was having a blast.

If anyone else had this happen and was able to fix it please help....

I applied the fix and am able to load the game, but for some reason the game is stuck at 30 FPS where it used to run at 60 FPS. If I hit the "..." button while in game to open the settings menu, the framerate returns to 60 FPS.
