The latest 6GB patch is causing an error on Steam Deck when loading the game…

Thank you for the report, we're looking into this.
I was really excited when I saw this fix but I tried the .drirc trick

AND

In the

sytem tab
game execution
environment variables

section, I used

VK_X11_OVERRIDE_MIN_IMAGE_COUNT 2

in either case i get...

Assertion failed: !status && "vkDestroyQueryPool", file /home/ubuntu/buildbot/runners/wine/wine-src/dlls/winevulkan/loader_thunks.c, line 3426

PoE was working flawlessly in wine up until that last patch.

I'm sooooooooo sad :-(

EDIT:

LOL.

application name="Path of Exile" executable="PathOfExile_x64Steam.exe"

I'm not running steam. In the .drirc file i simply changed

PathOfExile_x64Steam.exe

to

PathOfExile.exe

and it worked !

Very odd that setting the environment variable did NOT work.

I'm having the same issue, I've enabled the validation layer and there are some errors, seemingly related to the assertion: https://pastebin.com/hSCEhQ9P

Edit:
The .drirc fix did work for me too, but I've already had this file for some other games and there were other attributes on the "<device>" which made it not work.
