Double dipping lightning to cold conversion
If I use storm call with Call of the Brotherhood rings to covert 100% of lightning damage into cold damage, what modifiers increase damage the most?
Is it "Elemental damage" because it affects both? Is it "Lightning damage" that affects both? Spell Damage? I forgot which one I need to double dip the lightning to cold conversion :) Last bumped on Jul 20, 2023, 5:54:13 AM

all modifiers of increased damage should be equally good - no double dipping.
there are exeptions like the notabe "storm weaver", which has 2 separate modifiers that increase cold damage and lightning damage each. (25%+25% = 50%) please note, that stats like "increased armour and evasion" found on the notable Bravery only give their stat increase once, even if you convert all evasion to armour. Nebulis would also work with both increase stats. Last edited by Gamingtwink#3209 on Jul 19, 2023, 4:54:47 PM

As Gamingtwink said, none of these modifiers will double-dip. In fact, no modifiers in PoE will double-dip any more.
If the damage originated as, was converted through, or converted to, a specific damage type, then it will benefit from the increase. For example, if your damage started as Lightning and got 100% converted to Cold, the damage you deal will be increased by Elemental, Lightning, and Cold damage. If it got 50% converted to Cold, then 50% of your final damage will benefit from Elemental and Lightning, and the other 50% (that was converted to Cold) will benefit from Elemental, Lightning, and Cold. |

" the double dipping comes from non-chaos as extra chaos damage usually. |
