Animate guardian question
Hi there...
If I already have an animated guardian summoned and then change something regarding minions, are those changes directly applied to the already existing guardian? I just got a helmet that gives +1 to all minion skills and set a passive point that gives minions more damage and life. Now I wonder: Does my guardian A: directly get all this, do I B: just have to take out the guardian skill gem, put it back in and summon the stored guardian again, or C: do I have to create an entirely new guardian with new gear in order to give him the extra level, life and damage? As the above poster mentioned, but with more detail and history.
Several years ago, they changed minions to be dynamic. Prior to that they snapshotted when created, leading to all sorts of bizzare tricks, like casting minions, respeccing out of minion nodes in the tree into defensive nodes then playing. After the change, all minions dynamically change whenever you change something. | |
Just be extra careful if you have given your AG expensive gear. You don't want to accidentally summon your AG over various white loot for example, and replace Kingmaker with "Staff of crap on the ground mk2".
Remove the skill button so you don't accidentally use it. Kind of the same deal if you have valuable other minions, like spectres, that can be hard to re-locate. I've made that mistake a few times when switching to 2nd weapon spot, due to the game changing skill buttons around. |

" There is zero reason to keep it part of your active skil bar. Pangaearoks is absolutely correct. |

The AG is on my second weapon/shield set, so that cannot happen...
