Freezing during map loading

About 30% of the time when I enter a map portal, it loads about 80% then the game doesn't respond for a moment, then it either loads or freezes the computer requiring a restart. At this point the gears indicating loading even gently go backwards a bit..... Has anyone experienced this?
This happens rarely when I first got to maps, but the more I play and juice, the more it seems to freeze up during the load. I've tried messing with graphics, steam vs standalone, no sounds through ini, research yielded no good results. I'm not super technical, but I can find any info you may need about hardware, if asked. if the PC is freezing then i would say there is something wrong with the PC, i'd be checking the event viewer if i were you.

It very well could be some interaction with the pc, but considering not a single other game/program has any problems and the specificity of when/how/signs of it freezing are tied to a very specific identifiable moment during loading that it doesn't respond,then freezes.
Also, I can run Heists/Pinnacles all day, but pop some maps and freezes abound. |
