Delirium would be so much better with no timer

iv'e gotten used to backtracking for loot, but ignoring all the altars just feels bad. sometimes i run past 5-6 altars and i feel like i'm missing out on so much loot. if i stop to read them then the timer runs out. if i click without reading then i will probably die in the map.
delirium timer was added before the altar came into the game. can we rework or get rid of the timer? i have all the atlas points but even with them the timer feels short if i were to stop and click altars

i have obscene levels of fomo.

i actually block delirium because i simply CANNOT leave things behind.

i have "forgotten" to clear maps many times where i open new maps after going back to hideout to clear my inventory. sometimes have a juicy ritual waiting to be claimed or some other nice content that is left in the map and i just simply forget about it.

thus i play slowly clearing everything. delirium. just makes me clear asap. and at the same time makes me feel so.... pissed off. i dont have time to read altars. i feel i m losing one way or another.

so yeah. doesnt matter to me now since i always block it.

similarly i block legion.

its no fun when i break some shells and then realize theres a nice reward/general at the edge of the screen but my time is running out.

blocked.

the only timed content that i do is alva. even then begrudgingly. i have to "fix" her by having points in the atlas so i get more time. its obscene. with the nodes i can get 1-2 mins extra, without it, i m 10-30 seconds away from being unable to clear fast enough.

i really hate timed events.

I think that can be said about pretty much every content in the game, timers are rarely if ever a good thing..

100% agree. There is almost nothing I hate more than a timer...I don't like to feel "forced" by anything. Sure, that unique map that becomes fatal is an interesting diversion, but that really should have been the only timer in the game.

it would be a really cool feature if you hover over the altar the time would slowly come to a stop, with cool sfx.... obv not perfect for party play, but who does that anyway

thats a good idea...pause the timer when you hover over the altars.

the technology exists.

back in ultimatum the world stopped for us so we can read and make a decision.

GGG CHOSE not to implement it

other places where this could help player experience

ALVA INCURSIONS

BETRAYAL choices

Crucible Charging

NOPE

ggg says no

ggg wants us to run around like a headless chicken

It's the perfect example of the bi-polar nature of GGG.

For years we've heard the mantra "We want to slow the game down"

Then every second league has been - here's another timed piece of content.

We want to make defence a key focus - but you'll get rewarded for glass cannon killing everything, particularly when defence doesn't matter because a stiff breeze can kill most characters these days.

Timers are typically lazy game design and certainly don't allow be to play the role of the cautious adventurer. They should all go from the game.
not only this is timed but these timers are pretty damn strict, especially if you don't invest atlas points to make them a little easier.

good luck opening the whole legion in 15 seconds. Even with insane screenwide clear build (like my ek ignite) it often doesn't open the whole thing because there is something behind a wall or a tight corner.
