Crafting a +2 skills fire amulet
So i want to craft a amulet.
I found a I-lvl 86 Marble amulet and alteration spammed until i got +1 to all skill gems. But i also got an annoying suffix, Regenerate 11.7 life per second. So how best to proceed now? I could regal and hope i dont get another suffix, but 2 suffixes are bad i seen on ziz video on YT. If that happens i have to take my chances on an annulment orb and risk removing the +1 all skills. If i get 2 suffixes after the regal, can i craft prefixes cant be changed and then scour it, turning it blue with only my +1 all skills stat? Then try a regal again, would that work or will the scour clean off also the prefix even i craft prefixes cant be changed? Now i have found an Eldrich orb of annulment, can i use this to remove a suffix? It seem to indicate that from the wording on the orb. Or does that only work on armour/boots/gloves? it says If the searing exarch is dominant, remove a prefix. If the eater of world is dominant, remove a suffix. What does "dominant" mean, does the item need to have an eater of worlds implict on it or what? I cant put one of those on an amulet, right? I also have an eldrich exalted, eldrich chaos orb and veiled chaos orbs. But maybe the eldrich orbs cant be used on amulets? I have a feeling this will end with i have to take my chances on annulment orbs. And i will surely brick the amulet and have to start over with alt spamming again, a couple of thousand of them.. If it's still blue, buy an imprint beast (Craicic Chimeral) and use that first. Then try to annul the suffix. If you miss, go back to the imprint. Repeat these steps until you don't miss.

Fyi chimerals are 2.5+divine so it's more about preventing rsi than anything

I'm afraid you cannot use your eldritch currency on an amulet because you cannot eldritch influence an amulet.
If you want just +1 all and another +1 you need to get +1 all in your prefixes first. Next get 2 suffixes and then craft "cannot roll attack mods" in the third suffix slot. Then you use the harvest craft to "add a mod and remove a mod" depending on the other +1 you want. There is a chance you will remove the +1 all skill from your item but if you dont remove it the only remaining mod to add will be the +1 you are looking for. |

Imprinting costs quite a lot but can save you from having to spam alts again.
The way to proceed is: 1) regal 2) use annulment to try and get one suff and your +1. If you remove +1 all, scour and spam alts again, then return to 1. If you regal'd a pref and removed your suffix, you probably can ry annul then exalt. 3) Now, craft "can have 3 crafted mods", then "prefixes cannot be changed", and "add # fire/cold/lightning (whatever type you want to get +1) to attacks". 4) harvest craft "add a (whatever type you want to get +1) mod, then removes a mod at random. Due to your amulet having no open suffix and added damage mod being locked, you are guaranteed to get the +1 you want. If you want chaos it's even easier as you have no mod to block Note that if you have enough budget, you should consider doing this on an amulet with fractured suffix, so crafting suffixes afterwards will be much easier. |

I would sure like a fractured base but i want an Marble amulet for more life regen and i can imagine a damage over time multiplier feactured Marble amulet would be very expensive and also rare to find. Maybe i can catch me such a beast, the craicic chimera. Anyone know what maps they usually spawn in? They cant be that rare right? Maybe i should check my Menagerie if i have one. They are used a lot i have seen and i sure would like a safe way to proceed. |

Any Einhar mission (be it from masters missions or from a bestiary scarab) can give you craicic chimerals. The minimum level is 68, meaning that even a T1 map would suffice. You might want to allocate nodes on the Atlas tree to make creatures from the Deep more likely.
As for not using a fractured base, there is a silver lining to that: it leaves the door open for a conqueror's exalted orb. You're guaranteed to get an influenced mod when you use it, and some of the suffixes can be pretty powerful. Say, a 40%-50% increased reservation efficiency on a large aura can be pretty substantial. Sadly, you have no control over which one of the mods rolls, and if you then decide to reroll the suffixes you cannot re-apply the conqueror orb (as the item is already influenced). Bear also in mind that if the item is influenced, you can no longer use add/remove crafts from the harvest bench. Reroll still works fine. |

Non-fractured is also what allows you to use a Craicic Chimeral. In addition to what the previous guy said about allocating to make monsters from the Deep more likely, you'll also want the atlas nodes that make less common varieties more likely. RNG will play heavily into this but to give you an idea, I cleaned out the Einhar red beasts challenge with those nodes allocated and got 1 Craicic Chimeral total.
