EE + fire trap + master of fire

I have a weapon with good affixes but also with EE implicit (which I dont really need). I wanna use this weapon just for its affixes I would be happy if the EE can be turned off but well I read many said the explosion from fire trap will proc EE...

Im using master of fire as my source of fire exposure. now the problem is that fire trap + EE supposed to remove fire exposure and replace it with cold n light expo right? so, will master of fire keep the fire exposure up if I fight a boss while throwing fire trap repeatedly?

No, as you said, EE removes fire exposure.

Master of Fire doesn't constantly reapply exposure, it affects enemies once per entry into the radius.
