Heist blueprints and alarms

Did a blueprint yesterday and was a bit confused about the alarm system. Had read that it was possible to leave with what you had taken, as long as the location wasn't in lockdown yet, and you could return, and then the alarm would be reset to 0. That's what happened the first time I did, but then I tried another time, and when I went back to the heist location, the alarm meter popped right back to almost full. Left again (all the way out to the Rogue harbour ofc) and went back, but once again the alarm meter went back to almost full. Which meant I couldn't grab 'big' chests from many of the rooms I spent loads of markers on to reveal. Felt like a total waste really.

Is it supposed to work like that? Seems pretty pointless to reveal many rooms and wings in that case. I had revealed two wings here, and all the rooms. Which cost around 10,000 markers, rather a lot.

It's working as intended. You can't just reset the alarm just cause you leave that would make it way too easy.

You can leave with the loot that you find before lockdown occurs and return but alarm will stay where it was unless you change to a different wing during blueprint.

Use the heist gear to lower alert level from opening chests. roll the blueprints if you can handle it.

Rogue Markers aren't hard to come by allocate some heist nodes in Atlas passive tree you will find plenty.

Blueprints are about choices (moreso than contracts)
If you could loot all the chests and not set off the alarm, well then there would be no challenge to the content.

Cheers. I was just confused about it working the first time, but not the others. But suppose it must have been a separate wing then. Not like they are identified once you are in the actual map. Does feel like a waste to uncover so many rooms, tho, when I can't see what's in them anyway. There seemed to be two chests in each room, so ofc the alarm level goes up a fair bit. Could pop one after the alarm with Huck (?), but that was it. We had to leg it out of there.
You are probably right, it was likely a separate wing.

I don't uncover all chests, mainly the ones I want, like div cards/currency. when starting up you might get about 4-6 large chest open depending on who you are using on your team, ignoring the small chest, but by improving the heist gear you have on the other member of your team it is possible to have a set up where you open everything on the map and dont trigger the alarm. The problem then being you might not have enough stash space to carry it all and need multiple trips on the wing.
