Connection failure (error while receiving data from the peer while downloading)

Hi guys, i need assistance before i reach to GGG directly see if anyone has run into this issue. I keep getting this error msg when i try to download the game from the installer. This happens every so often but it doesn't let me actually continue the download unless i close and start again where it would download 1-2GB and some new msg with new link will pop. All of the times that it happens Im given a link which i type to my URL bar and it it attempts to download a file but it fails due to file incomplete. The link changes every single time.{15 different ones so far}.

I've tried re-isntalling and re-downloading the whole installer. Change folder locations and names of the folders but nothing helps.

After i kept messing around with different stuff, i used a VPN and with the extra slow speed i managed to finish off the remaining 130MB. So not a fix to the cause but a workaround the problem!

There's a thread up with the same problem. I'm glad you got a fix using VPN but I'm kind of red-assed that this problem still exists. You can find the same bug from years and years ago.

Im trying to install poe, i am getting Failure when receiving data from the peer while downloading... not typing the entire url. Tried vpn, restarting and just reinstalling nothing work.

Edit: Also tried running as adminstrator and repairing..

this normally means that it's an ISP issue like they are caching old data....

How do we resolve this!?!

Going on 5 days now that I can’t play because of the patch error.

As HanSoloDK mentioned above, this error is usually related to your ISP's caching of data.

First thing to try is a full power cycle of your modem/router to force a new IP address. If this does not fix it, then contact your ISP.
