Please let us skip campaign!
At this point, Id rather skip mapping. Its the most Seizure inducing boring aimless grindfest of the game where everything you're farming is wasted time youd be better off trading for.
Like yeah I could farm up this one thing so I can play that content. Or I could drop like some tiny amount of currency and just do 100 of them back to back. A lot of stuff in this game is starting to bore me. So much of the game Is asking me to explore things and try new stuff, but its all balanced around the top 1% of players. This league mechanic in particular. Like How is it that I'm clearing the content just fine and if I just decide to enter the wild wood suddenly everything is 10x more damaging and tankier. This game is just constantly mixed messages. Idk what It wants me to do. The experience is wearing on me. Idk if you're even allowed to criticize the game on here. chances of getting a beta key 0.000001 %

" Ever since Crucible league the devs seem to be addicted to making massively overtuned giga-tanky and rippy enemies that oneshot you from 3 screens away. I don't know what it is that made them start doing it but it isn't fun game design. I struggle with wisp-empowered enemies even with my 237 mil single-target dps totem character, and that's just stupid. They seem to have this philosophy of "well if your character isn't in full mirror gear and has a mageblood then you don't get to experience the full gameplay of the league, you shouldn't juice up the mobs more than you can handle". Except that isn't fun, this league is just Sentinel but shit, because you can't choose what to empower and the empowerment is insaaanely unbalanced and overtuned to hell. Sure you can see scarab or currency explosions but only with an MF character in a 6-man group do you see the big ones. I absolutely hate how they're overtuning every league mechanic since Crucible and also adding in SO much senseless rng like with the forge of the titans 84 maps in Crucible, or ToTA just being a slot machine simulator with annoying NPCs, or now Affliction having RNG with finding the bosses you need for your ascendancy quest, and trying to find your ascendancy's NPC in the forest. And just how random the forest itself is, it isn't fun. It all just seems like bad game design made to force players to play the game longer, to grind longer and make you frustrated. That isn't real difficulty, it's just arbitrary. Last edited by Toforto#2372 on Jan 1, 2024, 9:54:12 AM

As someone who's leveled through the campaign a couple hundred times, I think it's fine.
I could certainly live without them rebalancing any more of the acts to make them unnecessarily harder or adding additional mazy deadend-laden layouts though. Anyone who thinks growing visibly older just trying to find Yeena in act 7 is good gameplay shouldn't be allowed anywhere near layout generation. Fairgraves was a slave trafficker specialized in the kidnapping and transport of children. He was not "a good man".

" I used to hate vaal city zone in act 7 too, but apparently that layout only has like 3 possibilities and its super easy to find her if you know them. There's a few youtube vids about it, I personally make new instances until I get the one that's easiest for me to do which is when your character is facing a dead-end ledge coming out of the entrance of the zone. |
