Please let us skip campaign!
Honestly, the biggest problem with me playing PoE is knowing that I have to go through the campaign again every single league. Not just that, but every single character. I'm not a huge fan of Diablo 3, but they did a good thing with their Adventure Mode. The fact that it can take 10+ hours to get to the meat of the content is exhausting.
I want to enjoy the new leagues and try out new things, but having to follow the railroad to the end every single time is really draining. Just my 2 Chaos Orbs worth. Last bumped on Jan 1, 2024, 11:38:24 AM

I think an "Atlas only" mode would be fantastic. There might be an issue with leveling but that could be fixed by starting atlas only characters with something like a broken map device that gives maps based on character level until you reach level 75 and are given the option to repair your map device similar to the options we currently have to upgrade it. It wouldn't do much to make it take less time to get to the real atlas, but it would make it less tedious for the maps to not be the same tired maps with the same tired bosses in the same tired order every single time.
Also, please stop trying to derail good suggestions by saying, "me too but it'll never happen." That isn't remotely helpful nor does it add anything to the conversation. If you actually agree that a feature or change would be a good idea, maybe try engaging with the idea and spitball some hypothetical situations involving that suggestion rather then basically just telling everyone with a potentially good idea to give up. |

I mean, he got a point.
They literally spent numerous years just making a new campaign - aka PoE2. Someone got to break it to GGG that no matter how good a campaign is, people are not gonna like playing through it 50 times. Especially in an endgame-focused arpg |

Bingo! I LOVED acts 5-10 when they came out, and the first several times I ran through them. Now that its nothing more then a barrier in the way of what I really want to be doing its just an obnoxious and pointless waste of my time. My favorite league start has become Necromancer because I can literally ignore all gear minus sockets and run through quest objectives all the way into upper white and lower yellow maps without having to stop for anything because my minions will tank all the hits for me and down bosses so fast on passive minion damage nodes alone that some fights become straight up comical. (Innocence for example doesn't even get to move, he summons minions then as soon as MY minions can hit him again he's instantly back to the summon phase, like why am I even fighting him at that point?)

Utterly pointless. Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

My thoughts exactly. It really is a fantastic campaign. But after 50+ times, I'm...I'm kinda done. Especially multiple times per League.
An Adventure Mode would be really helpful, or at least something like the Azurite Mine or little maps. Or just start secondary characters at level 67 or 68 if the "main" one has already gotten to maps. That'd be something. " |

how about instead a mechanic to recycle your characters.
you can't skip anything.. yet you get to make a new character and not have to do the story again. Innocence forgives you Last edited by SilentSymphony#3358 on May 31, 2023, 6:15:44 PM

I know it is probably a big ask, but when you have players who have played for years requiring them to go through the campaign for every character is a bit much, and probably is a big turn off to keep trying different builds each league. I have no problem running through the campaign once a league, but every char is discouraging.
I have been playing with new builds just in the last couple of weeks to get ready for next league, but just get too tired of the same steps to just get to end game. Please, if not in POE 1, please consider it for POE 2. Have to say that is probably one of only things I like the D game over POE. Yes, I will keep playing regardless, but I end up jumping to other games in between leagues. |

If you do not like the campaign, train it so you can blast through it. It is 5-7 hours with new character and 4 hours with next characters with some gear. No big deal.
You have to level up your characters even if they allow you to skip the campaign. Last edited by Piccaso#2372 on Aug 8, 2023, 3:25:03 AM
