Unique deerskin gloves drop - with no stats!!!

I am very confused about this glitch.... While fighting through the battlefront I killed an enemy and he dropped a unique item - orange+brown texted, cool sound effect, everything lined up... but now when I try to look at the stats for the item or identify it by hovering my cursor over it it just says:
"Deerskin gloves Evasion rating 76 Requires level 21, 33 Dex" There is no option to identify the item and it doesn't have the colour in it's text... It just has four linked slots - 3 green one blue Has anyone experienced this before? I have been finding the drop rates for unique items very low and am hoping there's a way to fix this glitch! update- in the solaris temple an unique infantry brigandine dropped - this time i could identify it but it was just of the newt, regenerating 1.3 life per second?! update: another set of gloves of the same kind and also a rusted coif... however i did double check and the writing isn't orange-brown, the outline is in the text to pick it up... however they are still making a sound and with an orange-brown light around them if placed upon the ground.
