You'd be surprised how many people can efficiently farm currency but have highly dubious understanding of build mechanics. They just buy everything they're told they need for this build or that build, then don't know what's going on when something doesn't seem to work as expected.

are you saying ppl with no knowledge of the game can farm the most OP chase unique in the game? i doubt it....

its not hard to farm mageblood at all i literally made 200 divines from just alch and go and farming altars for 1 week i have over 20k hours in this game and i still follow build guides not to mention the most easiest way to farm currency is with mf or 80% delirium with skittering orbs for example i spent 25d in 200 skittering orbs and made back 53 divines per 50 maps and i sell entire scarab tab on TFT for that price and it takes like 5-6 hours to do it so do the math how long it would take to farm up mageblood

It makes sense, but you wouldn't actually want the life reserved though. Then you wouldn't be able to use the flask reliably any time you aren't taking damage and/or consuming mana. The flask won't apply any time you're full on both life and mana, and it will stop working if you become full on both. Rather than necessarily being low life and/or having so much life reserved, the objective is to stay below full life.
