How to give my cold dot build a damage boost?

Have about 10 div and looking to further improve it damage wise without sacrificing survivability.

Upgrading your weapon seems like the best choice to me you can get a wand or scepter with cold damage on it plus the dot multi stuff. Not 100% sure the budget on those right now but pretty much everything that's good is expensive at this point in the league.
Honestly you might not like this answer but sometimes to upgrade you have to reroll to a stronger build that scales harder with investment. Cold dot can only go so high and it doesn't scale with moneys as much as some attack builds might. Have you considered to make a sst spectral shield throw it's one of the strongest builds this league thanks to the op shields you can get. |

Does your Cruelty effect regularly maxed out or is it usually below 40%?
Scaling the hit of Creeping Frost (shotgunning with GMP and all) instead of the DoT would yield much more damage, but that's a different build altogether. |

" Ah...after reaching endgame I also realized that cold dot dmg seems really difficult to scale up. I was hoping I was wrong cause it's a pain in the ass the level another character. Oh well |

Actually I just realized what I would do if I was in your place. I'd sell that foil hh you got and use the funds to buy full sst build with a 1000 ES emperors vigilance shield you can get one for like 150 divines or so. Foil hh vs 1000 ES vigialnce is a no brain move to me imo especially if crucible trees go legacy at end of league. Either way grats on the hh.

Jungroan has a softcore cold dot from 3.20 that gets up to like 25M dps, look at that.
But in general, cold dot is a league starter build that starts strong but doesn’t scale to mega damage. Its good as a reliable farmer in any league but then you usually swap to a stronger scaling build for ubers etc. Last edited by Poiuytr133#2949 on May 15, 2023, 8:22:23 PM

" Yeah that would probably be the best route to go. Cold dot really felt nice levelling up and easy to get into red maps. It's probably the smoothest levelling progress I had for league start. Anyways any good elementalist build for bossing you recommend? |
