Bug with life gain on hit synthesis mod

Hi there,

There is a synthesis mod on one handed weapons, rune daggers in my case, "grants 25-30 life per enemy hit" which only works for attacks, but the mod itself doesnt say its for only attacks.
Also, regarding synthesis mods, there already is a synthesis mod which says "#-# life gain on hits with attacks"

worded such as "life gained on hit with attacks" and "life gained on hit with spells" with an exception of a watchers eye mod call "Gain # Life per Enemy Hit while affected by Vitality" and this mod works for both spell & attack.

With all of this information i'am actually surprise dat the synthesis mod on the dagger "grants 25-30 life per enemy hit" doesnt work with spell since its not specific to attacks and should be global.

Apreciate the time spend on my request, i would love to get some information back about this.

I would believe that the synthesis implicits would work like the implicits for claws, and only function for attacks with that weapon. You should also be able to hold Alt over the item and see that the implict has the "Attack" tag.

The synthesis mods granting "life gain on hits with attacks" I would assume are not available on weapons.
The thing is "life gain on hits with attacks" exist on synth item too ... dat's why i'am really surprise this is not global and only works for attacks

It doesn't matter whether a mod is synthesed, fractured, influneced, etc, they all work the same. The distinction you should make here is between weapon and non-weapon mods. The global mod you're talking about is not rolling on weapons and would make little sense on them with such wording.

Generally, weapon mods are local if they can apply to the weapon properties or to attacks with this weapon unless it's stated otherwise (like +% Global Critical Strike Chance).
"Grants X Life per Enemy Hit" is the new wording of the implicit and it always local and only found from claw


Note that "Gain X Life per Enemy Hit with Attacks" is jewel-only Synthesis mod so that it must wording like that and it is global


While "Grants X Life per Enemy Hit" is weapon Synthesis mod and it has the exactly the same wording as claw mod so that it is local (and consistent with all other weapon mod, which are local unless otherwise worded)
