Crit Resistant monster mod is overly punishing

This league i played about 5-6 builds because i always do that. My first char in the league is built up currency then i test some other builds, because this makes fun to me. Poe has a wide diversity of different builds and i noticed since AN that nearly everybuild has his weaknesses. There are only a few that can deal with all mods.
The problem is that, that was written more then 1000 times, is when you meet a rare with AN mods that disables your build, you are dead. Or you are lucky and run away. With some of my builds it was very hard in delve to run away, normally you have to deal with it or die. I remember where Chris said that he has a vision and he wishes the game becomes more tactical or strategic, but this doesnt work here well. I mean how tactical is it, when you cant do a mob? This is a big problem for me and normally a reason to play builds that are not meta or well tested. Another thing that i mentioned years ago was that i dont like the mods you have on maps. They also disables your build too, but im fine with it now. So many people said you can just reroll the map, but its still stupid. What i really would appreciate is that you can make enemies stronger with more damage or more life and maybe stronger modifiers, but not like things with no life regen, less armor, less block chance and so on. I mean there are other ARPGs that do that and it works well. This league my 6(?) build is something i can work with, but its nearly to late. Because my motivation is a bit gone this league. The only thing i have to do now is to make currency. |

So, just to support the topic starter :)
Fully support about this mod, as other listed in this topic. The problem is not that they are making monster harder to kill, as it is bricking the mechanics in general, which IMO is bad game design. So, i hope someone from GGG is reading this post, if you will just change it to 50-70-80 % - it will be something which is balanced, because it is the same, as you have the mods on your maps - you do not give ailment immunity, immune to crit or etc, you give the reduction. If they will stack on top of each other - it is then already the problem of the player, that he was not carefull to check about the mods on the map. My personal pain - "Overwhelm Physical Damage Reduction" mod, which is honestly completely ridiculous, when you heavily invest in your armour, and then get oneshotted off screen by a rare skeleton archer :) |
