Standard League - legacy maps don't benefit from atlas tree?

Hi. I just want to confirm that this is operating as expected. I transitioned to playing my old standard league characters, and when running some maps, I don't seem to be benefitting from my atlas passives. For example, I am fully specced into strongboxes, and I am finding normal white ones. And I am fully specced into essences, but I am not finding any on some maps. Is this normal for "legacy maps" that are not in the current league? Is that why people convert them over to league maps? I never did that because I wanted to be able to run any map I have saved.

correct, they do not benefit from tree, you just want to run 1 corrupted legacy t16 every league to reunlock your atlas.
I think it's not about legacy maps in general, it's about whether the map in question is currently available on the atlas. You can run legacy versions of Strand for example and your atlas should apply to that since Strand is currently on the atlas. Villa on the other hand won't work since it's not on the atlas at the moment.
