orb of renewal (again new orb idea)
I was thinking how about an orb that changes the "roll" of a specific mod on an item? so lets say i get yellow boots and im happy with all the stats except the life mod which is shockingly only 20
with this orb you could click the item and pick which mod you want to re-roll a nice feature for this orb would be that it could tell you what the maximum number of the mod on that particular item potentially can be so you know what to aim for this won't break the RNG concept in my opinion but would be very handy to fine tune your gear any thoughts? would have to be rare as an exalt or it would end up being a bit broken.
It would allow someone to easily "perfect" gear if it was even as common as the Chaos. |

it would be a super cool and interesting orb if it re-rolled a RANDOM affix on an item
no idea how it would be "balanced" though in terms of rarity and vendor recipes allowing you to select a certain feature of an item to modify seems to go against the current status quo/philosophy you select the orb, then you select an item. thats the end of your choice. the orb does the rest. |

Pretty simple. If you can select the 'weak' affix, you can make super gear.
Oh, tri max res, best roll for +EV and %EV, but low life roll? Reroll that one mod until its high life. Given this orb teh rich could make super gear way too easily, would trivialise the need for chaos orbs. |

" I think you misunderstand the OP. It rerolls the one mods random value but keeps the mod. So if you have an ...of Ruin suffix, you could reroll it. It would remain ...of Ruin, but would reroll the 80-99%. |

exactly if you have mods that are undesirable it won't fix that problem chaos would
