I'm having the same problem. I've been playing POE for several years on Steam, 2500 hours. When I last logged in to the site, to check the link with Twitch, it told me to link to a path of exile account, as if I had never linked it. By doing this, when logging into Steam, it's as if I had created a new account - I lost my characters and, worst of all, the Tabs I purchased. I wanted to start in this new league.. I contacted support, they asked some questions, but they took a long time to respond... so far I haven't been able to recover anything.

if you want to add item filter, you just need to login instead of create new account and merge accounts (and override the wrong one)

Not sure if theres much to be done but just wanted to report this saddening bug of my character getting deleted when attempting to reconnect to server, Ive sent an email but just wanted to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else…..#poe2 still amazing tho
