Latency spikes after 3.21
Connected to Singapore with ping usually around 50-90ms. Have tried connecting to other servers but the issue persists in maps and heists (haven't tried anything else so far). What happens is I open a map or contract and it usually either stays stable from beginning to end, or the latency spikes as soon as I enter or when I encounter the first mob.
Playing as a duo; my partner enters the map with me and is mostly lag-free (geographically, we're located at different provinces here in the Philippines but we are using the same provider). She opens the instance, I still get a 50/50 on the latency spikes. Playing during non-peak hours right now just to test and it isn't getting any better. Didn't have this much of a problem during Sanctum; sure there were latency spikes but it was never this bad. Last night, I'm even getting spikes that lead me to being disconnected or having infinite loading screens. Have tried basic network troubleshooting on my end (flushing, power cycling, the works) but nada. Other games are fine aside from PoE. Gonna try my ISP after work today. |------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | WinMTR statistics | | Host - % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last | |------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------| | RTK_GW.bbrouter - 0 | 359 | 359 | 0 | 0 | 4 | 0 | | 172.25.0.1 - 0 | 359 | 359 | 0 | 2 | 10 | 2 | | 103.62.155.49 - 0 | 359 | 359 | 2 | 32 | 239 | 6 | | 103.62.155.245 - 4 | 322 | 312 | 0 | 5 | 43 | 4 | | 122.54.17.13.static.pldt.net - 6 | 293 | 276 | 56 | 58 | 61 | 58 | | 210.213.134.113.static.pldt.net - 0 | 359 | 359 | 56 | 58 | 63 | 59 | | 210.213.134.169.static.pldt.net - 0 | 359 | 359 | 56 | 58 | 90 | 59 | |ix-be-4-100.ecore1.svq-singapore.as6453.net - 4 | 314 | 302 | 117 | 119 | 123 | 118 | |if-ae-40-2.thar1.svq-singapore.as6453.net - 5 | 310 | 297 | 118 | 121 | 152 | 121 | | 180.87.96.139 - 4 | 314 | 302 | 0 | 58 | 70 | 60 | | 85.74.85ae.ip4.static.sl-reverse.com - 4 | 315 | 303 | 0 | 57 | 64 | 58 | | No response from host - 100 | 72 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 72 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | c5.12.6132.ip4.static.sl-reverse.com - 4 | 321 | 311 | 56 | 58 | 90 | 56 | | 91.76.85ae.ip4.static.sl-reverse.com - 8 | 279 | 258 | 56 | 61 | 274 | 77 | | db.64.5177.ip4.static.sl-reverse.com - 10 | 264 | 239 | 56 | 57 | 62 | 58 | |________________________________________________|______|______|______|______|______|______| WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider Last bumped on Jan 5, 2024, 3:37:59 PM

Im in a similar boat as you. Something is going on and its really making the game unplayable. I confirmed my ISP is not at fault since i have played other games and they are running perfectly fine.

Dying to a 2000 ms lag spike in Uber Lab.
The lag spikes are just consistent now. Everyday no mater what server you use, the lag spikes up to 2k - 8k sometimes kicking you. This started in 3.20 and is just worse everyday. Seriously it is unplayable |

Constant lag spikes as well

Same problem for me.
I log in on 25ms (Normal) then when a travel to my hideout or a map it starts to spike all the way to 12000ms I reinstalled the game! Checked all other games for internet problems but they are all fine! Don't know what to do!! |

GGG knows it but they don't care at all.

I'm in the same boat as you all.
I've done a bit of research and noticed it's only certain IP ranges that it lags out and disconnects me from. If you check the .txt file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Path of Exile\logs You'll probably find the same. I've tried installing the standalone client and using that with a different account and I have no problem at all. Maybe something to do with the servers used for Steam sessions? Idk, but this is beyond frustrating. |

Please investigate the latency issues. It's a great experience to buy a supporter pack and then get latency so high the game is unplayable. |------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | WinMTR statistics | | Host - % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last | |------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------| | homeportal - 8 | 96 | 89 | 0 | 20 | 220 | 4 | |162-231-152-1.lightspeed.bkfdca.sbcglobal.net - 5 | 103 | 98 | 0 | 33 | 337 | 4 | | 76.225.76.96 - 5 | 103 | 98 | 0 | 25 | 241 | 7 | | No response from host - 100 | 25 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 25 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | No response from host - 100 | 25 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | 32.130.25.105 - 5 | 103 | 98 | 0 | 38 | 252 | 18 | | ggr2.la2ca.ip.att.net - 5 | 103 | 98 | 0 | 38 | 252 | 16 | | be3013.ccr41.lax05.atlas.cogentco.com - 5 | 103 | 98 | 0 | 35 | 252 | 16 | | be3359.ccr42.lax01.atlas.cogentco.com - 6 | 100 | 94 | 0 | 31 | 224 | 17 | | be3177.ccr22.sjc01.atlas.cogentco.com - 7 | 99 | 93 | 0 | 47 | 308 | 23 | | be3144.ccr41.sjc03.atlas.cogentco.com - 6 | 100 | 94 | 0 | 40 | 235 | 24 | | 38.142.244.170 - 6 | 100 | 94 | 0 | 47 | 269 | 24 | | No response from host - 100 | 25 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | 209.192.171.188 - 8 | 96 | 89 | 0 | 38 | 226 | 24 | |________________________________________________|______|______|______|______|______|______| WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider |

" Sadly in your case, then your issue looks like a local one --> | homeportal - 8 | 96 | 89 | 0 | 20 | 220 | 4 | 8% packet loss and latency spikes up to 220 ms between your pc and the router/modem in your home isn't something PoE can handle. |

I am having the same issue as above, this seems to be pretty wide spread issue. I am launching the game from Steam, I am not sure if there are specific servers for steam based launch or not but it is a constant issue. Can we get an acknowledgement that the GGG Server folks are taking a look? I believe that would put folks at ease a bit. I know it would put myself at ease.
