Minions using weapon and crucible notables
In announcement Chris mentioned that notables on weapons should work on minions using weapon.
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1780012336?t=02h29m25s I tested blink arrow with bow with Master Fletcher (+1 arrow) and clones didn't get +1 arrow. Then i found FAQ post saying it actually doesn't work. So is it a bug or it wasn't supposed to work in the first place? Last bumped on Apr 23, 2023, 1:19:14 PM

Any keystone provides a boolean stat with the same name. So when we allocate a keystone on the skill tree, e.g. Call to Arms, it gives us "Call to Arms" stat, which is a codename for Using Warcries is Instant, Warcries share their Cooldown. Alternatively we can equip an item that have a line e.g. Magebane, which gives us the stat directly without involving Magebane keystone.
Any notable works straightforwardly – we allocate it, and it gives us listed stats, each stat separately. So when we allocate e.g. Inveterate it gives us +15% chance to Suppress Spell Damage and Prevent +3% of Suppressed Spell Damage. But if there were an item mod Inveterate, it would grant nothing, because there's no "Inveterate" stat in the game, it's just a notables' name. That's why we have mods that allocate notables instead. Minions don't have our skill tree, so anything that allocates passives won't work for them and I believe GGG didn't plan to change the way notables grant stats. Chris knows how the game works in general, and keystone-named stats work with minions, so I guess he assumed notables work the same. It's clear he didn't check with devs before answering, but as you said, GGG clarified this question later. |
