Name Feedback & Review

I had a feeling I should have downloaded the Steam version to be able to leave feedback easier, more publicly for others to see. With that out of the way, I am not going to leave a bad review. I do want to say this though. While I've heard and seen good things about this game [Path of Exile], there needs to be improvements where names aren't just taken up and you're forced to release a name after a year of not playing. I've been hit with this feature after a long absence where I've been too busy with other things in my life, and while I don't agree with name squatting, there are many players playing this popular title. An improvement to this I feel would be this. Names of characters should be tied to the account and not in a huge database where an account can lay claim to a name. Sure, I could use some ridiculous name or some underscores, but some folks like me prefer serious names to immerse themselves into game worlds like Wraeclast. Other than that, I really wanted to get into PoE but this was my quit moment and I guess it's not for me. Thanks anyways Grinding Gear Games. Maybe if this issue is mitigated in the future, it would bring players like me back. I wish I could leave more feedback about the story and game play elements, and hopefully you'll make that happen for new players whom, like myself, are or were looking to get into Path Of Exile.
