PoB Shock calculation
" I just want to show TS what I meant about PoB already estimating the shock amounts for you. This is also just a 4L Manaforged setup on a theorycraft Tornado Shot char. The other support gem is crit multiplier. (When socketed on Thunderfist, that should cap out the shock effect, but I chose the new Tahi Anu glove instead.) Reason why PoB won't automatically assume this as our Effect of Shock, I could think of at least two reasons. Firstly because shock can kinda stack, as in monsters gradually take increasing damage. Once we input 64% on the "Configuration > Effect of Shock" and return to this popup, it will show an increased amount, namely 70%. Secondly, it gives "PoB-warrior" vibes to assume these overly optimistic values. |

I also have 65% on Pinnacles.
![]() But overcharge does nothing for me. Same goes for inc crit chance & damage. Ingame it does increase my damage, but PoB gives me negative dps. ![]() Any clue why? Im bad at math.

In that screenshot, it shows you are doing 14% effect of shock on pinnacle bosses.
Overcharge is not meant to be used in your main link because it has damage penalty. It is meant to be put in Manaforged Arrows (MfA) as a support setup. Previously only spellcasters could properly use Overcharge, with Orb of Storms. This patch, they introduced MfA for bow builds. |
