Bandits and 2 passive skills

This topic has been on my mind for a while and I think 2 passives are just too powerful when they are compared to the bandit kills.

I think the passive reward should be dropped to 1, re-allocate 1 passive to another quest in act 2, buff bandit rewards and see how it goes.

Players are overwhelmingly choosing the 2 passive rewards and ignoring bandits altogether.

What are your thoughts on this?

Only used the alternate bandit passive one time a really long time ago.

Was looking at them wondering when they had removed some of the historical bonuses.

Old Rewards:

The Bandit Rewards have been adjusted, these now grant:

Normal
Oak: +40 to maximum Life
Alira: +60 to Maximum Mana. (new)
Kraityn: 10% to Elemental Resistances. (new)
Cruel
Oak : 16% increased Physical Damage. (new)
Kraityn: 8% increased Attack Speed
Alira : 5% increased Cast Speed (new)
Merciless
Oak : +1 to Maximum Endurance Charges
Kraityn : +1 to Maximum Frenzy Charges
Alira: +1 to Maximum Power Charges


and the new ones:

The rewards from the quest Deal with the Bandits have been reworked. The rewards from the Cruel and Merciless versions of this quest have been removed. Depending on your choice, you now receive the following:

Helping Oak grants: 1% of Life Regenerated per second, 2% additional Physical Damage Reduction, 20% increased Physical Damage.
Helping Alira grants: 5 Mana Regenerated per second, +20% to Global Critical Strike Multiplier, +15% to all Elemental Resistances.
Helping Kraityn grants: 6% increased Attack and Cast Speed, 3% chance to Dodge Attacks, 6% increased Movement Speed.
Eramir grants 2 Passive Skill Points if you decide to kill all three.


The max charges for charge specific builds was probably the only node besides very specific usage of oaks passives that i could see myself using, It would be a real struggle every time unless they changed.

1 point seems low, 2 points are strong. Alira could be translated into half of jewel. Maybe it would be balancing action to change it to a single point. I might consider Oak for some Phys degen then.

First char on leveling - ALIRA is too strong
Twink & End Game - 2 points are the king

I think with the swap existing, it is still a fairly decent choice to make. I prefer skill point rewards or straight up item rewards in general. It is just easier to understand.

Perhaps just -> make the specific bandit give you item of something related to their base class
and Eramir would just give you 2 points anyway, because you dealt with the bandits :)

Thats a good idea, yeah keep the 2 passive and buff the bandit rewards, they are too underwhelmed.

Cluster Jewels first came out it was 2 passives. Then they nerfed Clusters and Alira came back. Now they added Forbidden Flame/Flesh and it leans back into 2 passives. Now a lot of Mastery nodes got gimped so I find myself skipping 2/3 of them looking at nerfed Clusters to fill the void.

Ye Alira is alright, it's competitive with 2 points and that's cool, one time 2 points will pull slightly ahead, other times Alira will. But the difference is very small.

Oak and Kraytin are dead and have been dead for years though. These need a revision.

nice flex hehe....except that many were saying the same thing long before this thread. Almost constantly since the initial rework in 3.0.
