Pressure Points with totems
Hi,
The "Pressures Points" mod on clustered jewels says: "Your critical strikes have a 5% chance to deal double damage" I'm a hierophant and I'm wondering if my totems would benefit from the mod ? As I understand it, it shouldn't because I don't deal any critical strikes myself. This is precisely the reason why I'm using the boots enchant that grants 120% increased chance to crit it I didn't recently (because I never crit'). However, there's a few guides here and there for totems builds, advising to use this jewel. Thanks Last bumped on Apr 15, 2023, 1:08:05 PM

Exactly, you aren't doing the crit strikes. You are summoning the totem.
At least that's my understanding. "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning."

I play totems all the time and yes it does work. You don't crit but your totems use your stats so your totems will get that DD chance.

" OK thanks for your feedback. Then I suppose the explanation may be that on boots, it says "if you haven't dealt a critical strike recently", whereas the jewel says that an inherent property of my critical strikes (transferred to the totems) is that they have 5% chance to double damage. Am I right ? |

Yes. Basically for the boots, YOU don't do critical strikes because your totems do the crits for you. Your totems have your stuff (like the DD from this node) but you don't have your totem's (so when they crit or kill, it doesn't count as you).
