Atlas tree nodes make encounters harder?

I got all the essence nodes and now I am dying a lot to essence monsters. Does every essence node make them harder? Or is it just the large nodes? Or what exactly is making them harder? Should I respec?

Each essence on a monster makes it harder. Some atlas nodes give a chance of additional essences on the monster

Going all in on Essence is generally a bad idea for builds that can't both soak up a lot of damage and dish it out consistently.
If your build can't handle it, definitely at least respec Essence passives that can give the mob additional essences and/or give the mob a chance to be duplicated. The more essences they carry, the harder they are. They also get some rare mods by nature of being rare mobs. Fighting those dudes can get really dicey at 5+ essences, especially in conjunction with certain rare mods if they get them. They can end up being significantly more challenging than any regular map boss. Potentially fighting 2 of them just doubles the pain. I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German. " i looked at your char and its quite a mess...i dont know how you managed to even get to lvl 83 to be honest. that is the problem not the atlas tree nodes. you need to follow a build guide |
