Nimis Fireball Cast On Crit Bug

I need a developer to clarify this for everyone is this intended.

Sry for being noob my gear is bare minimum xD As you can see in this video the (Hit and explosion) on fire ball are inconsistent even on normal mobs. A fireball that just launched sometime just go thru mobs to bounce back on the wall and never explode. On bosses its totally ignoring the hit box. I understand why the build got a nerf in the patch you shouldn't be able to shotgun with fireball like it was before but ignoring the hitbox of the boss is a bit much no ? My understanding is that Fireball explodes when the projectile expires. This means when it hits a target and does not chain, pierce, fork, or split. Do you have pierce in your build?

No Pierce in the passive tree nor on any item. And yeh it doesn't explode mostly just on bosses.
