Dual wielding support
Just a reminder that there is only 3 skills for dual wielding in the game and the game has been out for like 10 years now.
Theres more than 300 active skills in game, for summoning minions alone theres 19 skills. I know the devs dont play dual wielding builds or any melee build actually, its apparent from the sorry state that the play style is in... but for the love of god... 3 SKILLS IN 10 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least pretend that you care about your players and throw a bone here and there so that people that enjoy the play style actually have something new to try. We all know every one in GGG's office plays spell casters and summoners but FOR THE LOVE OF GOD give people that wanna play dual wielding something new. And while ur at it fix melee! Dual Wielding isn't exactly a skill thing. It's a playstyle thing.
I've made very robust DW interactions in games without having to resort to specific skills. Dual Wield excel at applying statuses compared to 2handers or sword n' board. This allows them to combine statuses types with each weapon focused on a different type. They still hit that middle mark gaining dodge but less crit dmg than 2handers. Dodge not being as reliable as Glancing Blows which is what sword n' board gives. This is something PoE can't really do because even though we hit with each weapon, status procs are global. In addition the bonuses for DW simple aren't enough to compete. Imagine for instance you could apply Anger aura at 50% it's cost to your main weapon and Hatred and 50% cost to your off-hand. These are the types of interactions that bring out Dual Wielding as a concept. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac

they should give this playstyle more atenttion
there should be at least 2-3 skills that would require 2 weapons to use and at least 1 that would require 2 diferent weapon types and we should be able to use wands with scepters, wands with daggers etc as well theres no real reason why we shouldnt be able to do so, it would be really cool like a warlock playstyle for shadow/witch and some skills to mix both spell and attack ir more diferent ways as well theres so much ground to go, and ggg is just looking at that kiracs vault nowadays |

" The way i see it is not about interactions or strong points vs weak points, its about OPTIONS. Theres only so much you can experiment with when the game only gives you 3 options and 2 of those options play the same gameplay wise, POE is about making cool builds and you cant make cool builds with dual wielding anymore because people that enjoy DW have explored the available options to death. That said i also think that POE also lacks options in general for melee in the right side of the tree which makes no sense because the shadow for example is suposed to use daggers or claws. I think GGG rly needs to take a look at what is being offered in regards to the more "ninja/assassin" playstyles and make some drastic changes. |

It doesn't have to be DW specific skills was the point of my post.
You can create a good variety of options without skills. I would rather they not do that because it will pigeon hole DW into using those skills more. Skills are already limited by weapon types. Here's another one. What if each weapon could use it's own 6-link skill alternating between the two. This is the type of interaction that makes DW stand out as a play style beyond some gimmick. In the current state of the game it doesn't quite work. I'm just shooting examples here that make DW a unique method of play without adding skills specific for it. Shadow and Witch have melee options they just don't have Fortify which heavily limits their ability to be in melee distance. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac
