Is it possible to chance orb a split item into a unique

My friend and I are thinking about going in on crafting a specific crucible base and then chancing it into a unique.
If an item is split it retains the same crucible tree, but is it possible to chance orb the split item into a unique version? Last bumped on May 2, 2023, 1:35:07 PM

I tested with iron commander i splitted the base (it retained tree and progress on both items), then influenced one of the split base with crusader orb than chanced it into iron commander with crusader influence and split tag, it worked perfectly.
