Energy Shield Calculations not Multiplied

DEAR GGG,

I hope all is well, It seems the bonus energy shield from Body armour and chest and shield in path of exile is not getting multiplied buy the increase % of energy shield I have, I would like to know if this is intentional or simply an error. To be specific, The mastery 100% increase energy shield of helmet, is simply giving me a flat exact ratio of my ES on helmet without my % increase energy shield in calculation. same for shield arcane guarding and body armour new mastery. Could you please clarify why % increase energy shield is not working with these nodes ?

Can you clarify what energy shield modifiers you mean?
You helmet Crown of the Inward Eye has 145 ES, which is the result of 45 base ES modified by
333% increased Armour and Energy Shield
Does the mastery provide you 145 (as it should) or 45 ES?

Or do you mean global ES modifiers like from the skill tree?

Okay, lets say you have "300% increased Energy Shield" and "100% increased Energy Shield from Equipped Helmet" mastery. Both modifiers are global ES increases but apply to different values. The mastery applies specifically to helmet's ES, while the former applies to the sum of ES from your gear, etc. They do this in one calculation step, simultaneously. In this example the helmet ES value would be modifierd by 400% (300 + 100) increased Energy Shield. None of them can apply before or after another and thus can not know the result of the other's calculation beforehand.
