You 100% buffed rares back AGAIN towards archnemesis levels… WHY?

These rares are fooking ridiculous. Four leagues in a row your players tell you they don’t enjoy spending 5 minutes killing a rare and 5 seconds killing the end map boss. Four leagues in a row you buff rares to beyond annoying levels, and then tune it back down. It honestly feels at this point you want your player-base to be absolutely miserable during the entire campaign and up until your end-game build is completely finished.

It’s not “fun” to see Life Regen or Life Leech and sit there for 5 minutes trying to kill him. It’s not fun when a mob takes 90% reduced damage because it’s “resistant” to your build. Why don’t you guys remove ruthless, and just rename it PoE 2 and make it a standalone game since this is the game you REALLY want, and just remove anyone who wants archnemesis from PoE 1 so that we can have a game that doesn’t feel like we are being punished for wanting to play.

The main problem is that they decided that PoE 2 has to be an expansion for PoE instead of a separate game... this means that they first need to bring everything in line with their vision for PoE 2 and the curent zoom zoom gameplay is not really compatible.

Slowing down the game, reducing the rewards, increasing the RNG, buffing monsters, it all leads towards PoE 2.

They bet that PoE 2 is going to be so succesful that the current loses in player base will make up for it.

As for PoE 1... It will be forgotten. People will either accept the changes or move on.
AN was never gone =D

Slowing down players and reducing Enemy Density is healthy for the game. They're just doing it all wrong. Notable rare enemies is fine long as there's not 6 of them on your screen at once.

Lake actually brought me back for one quote "Leas but more meaningful rare enemies"
This of course turned out to be a half truth since it was only lower level content.

As for PoE2, yea. They can pretty much do whatever. They know people will play it.

The whole speed meta exists because you need to do a ungodly amount of maps to find something.
If the game is slowed the rewards must be increased because no one enjoys playing the whole day and walk out with only a hand full of Divines if at all any. There is already a game mode for those who enjoy no loot, it is called ruthless.
Ofc they did it. The thing is that they believe we won't notice..

i actually LIKE the IDEA behind AN. but really hate the execution. ultimately i hate AN.

i hate that GGG is assuming all players are gonna go gigachad with a meta build and catering the game for them.

i skipped sentinel and AN, wasnt really a fan.

the reason why i m still in crucible is because i can actually run crucible with "lower charges". it may take longer to achieve things but not as excruciating. i m also hoping GGG makes crucible experience better.

I like the idea behind less and more meaningful rares. AN is kinda wonky.

They roll too many mods and each mod had it's own pool or stuff it did. Very poor communication to the player both reading which was impossible and visually through VFX.

I was developing a similar difficulty option into a CRPG. It didn't inflate stats though. It simply gave 1 out of 4-5 NPCs in a fight a very dangerous mechanic players have to work around while doing the normal fight. Because there was no stat bloat I could implement mechanics were is was actually a bad idea to kill the "Elite" first as it's body would spread debilitating effects.

Obviously not a 1 to 1 for an ARPG however I would like far less enemy density and stronger normal enemies. The spectrum between normal a rare enemies is just clown shoes. Last league I was phasing Kitava T15 and never actually attacked him. The rares were outlasting an entire phase, even two. Which of course Map bosses need to be greatly improved also. Perhaps a lil more dynamic.

Too this day I still like Izaro. He's a meme at this point but every time I fight him. I'm like.. Okay buddy, What weapons are you using today... Mechanic driven bosses are flawed in that they never change and become repetitive real quick.

Its fine bro, its quite normal that every 2nd rare gets to enrage perma getting move speed,cast/attack speed, and damage being a demigod having regen not being able to die and oneshtting you, they had additional month to create this monstrosity btw, not 3months but 4 ^^
ITS SO DUMB, every crucible rare steals all your charges, has extra life, extra regen , extra resists at a lvl 7 map, wtf is this crap, takes me 5 min to kill 1 rare and map boss dies in 5 seconds
