Triggerbots + Impending Doom Not working

Impending doom is a spell that gets triggered by curse expiring. Upon curse expiring, impending doom does not activate one at each triggerbot's location.

This is not a bug. Impending Doom doesn't do anything at the caster's location, only at the target location. Triggerbots overrides the origin - where the spell is cast from, not where it's targeted.

Will this work if the player is within the original curse's AOE?

" What it means is that the caster's location doesn't matter; whether it's the player's location or the triggerbot's location, the triggered spell occurs at the monster's location. The result is that you'd see the spell's effect occur twice, at the same location, at the same time, making it hard to discern visually that the triggerbots are working.
