Six Link Vendor Recipe

I tried to sell a 6 linked staff to the vendor but was only getting alch and alt shards rather than 20 fusing. The weapon has a crucible tree active and I'm wondering if that is why, and if it is that has to be a bug right, unless I missed an announcement that the recipe is gone?

Update: I went to a crucible and used a scour to remove the first allocated node and I was then able to sell the item for 20 fusing. Not sure if this is working as intended but kind of a pain to have to scour the crucible modes before you can sell a 6 link for fusings.
