Possible options to make reading rare mob modifiers easier:
- when a magic/rare mob is on screen, always show closest magic/rare mob's information in upper center popup, as if you were hovering on that mob. Do not replace that popup if hovering on mob of lesser rarity than magic. But if hovering another magic/rare mob, bring it to popup until hovering ends. This should be easier option to implement, ideally toggleable from UI options. - make small icon for every mob modifier and permanently show those icons near small health bars directly above mobs heads. Only magic mobs and above should have this kind of health bars, not trash mobs. If icons won't have transparent background, they should be seen even through mess of visual effects that every poe combat is. I feel that archaic UI is responsible for excessive player deaths as much as unhinged damage scaling itself, currently player cannot read any modifiers simply because he needs his mouse to run and spam non-stop. Not to mention there are builds which do not presume clicking enemies directly, meaning anything not selfcast. |

I also can confirm that something is broken in regards of thread subject.
Got killed 4-6 times by now, by something that should not kill me with one hit. Especially that I have 3-4k energy shield, and 4700hp, with 75% resistances and 12k armour, giving me 70-80% reduciton in dmg taken. It wouldn't be a problem if not the -10% exp loss especially on 93 lvl. To be able to exp with reasonable speed one needs to look for parties and run maps quickly with 2+ players. For example today I was obliterated by something that looked like lighting storm hitting random place on the ground. First there were no rare mobs around that could cause this. Second it was ongoing for over 2 minutes and not stopping. While running with my minions around I got too close to this, despite it looked like I was not in range. And boom, insta dead. AFAIK lighting is not ignoring energy shield, so it should drain some of it first. But instead if just drained all hp all of the sudden. While not touching my energy shield at all. Next example is https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3405122/page/1#p25031291 Ciergan at Foundry map. As in the link, I killed the boss, his minion got glitched. While running around thinking I can kill it, to get some extra items suddenly under my character some weird purple explonsion occured. Killing me instantly. It ignored shield, armour, 4,500hp. If not the death penalty I wouldn't mind. But with -10% exp it's kinda annoying |
