" i just found a log file sized 3.4GB in the game/logs folder. sadly, too big to open it with my editors. I took your advice and once more deleted alle the folders (gamefolder, documents/mygames and appdata), followed by just another complete re-install of the game. Same problem, but here is the log file. It keeps spamming that one line until disc space runs out. (360k lines in just a few seconds) " My Games\Path of Exile\production_Config.ini is still empty |

" The solution provided is for Nvidia graphics cards. Since I am running an AMD card i'ts not working for me. I have messed around with custom resolutions on the AMD driver software, bit it's a bit too technical and I couldn't get it to work properly. I managed to find a solution for the problem.
After reading through this post (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3362892) I decided to focus on changeing my resolution. I guess AMD messed something up in their 'adrenaline' software, because I wasn't able to change my desktop resolution at all. So, i uninstalled the amd software and drivers and installed the default windows ones. I then changed the destop-resolution to 1920x1080 and run the game once. It did start now. Then I changed it back to 3440x1440. Finally, I reinstalled the AMD drivers. Seems to work fine now and my guess is, the game needs to run on 1080p initially after the update to work. |
