Triggerbots

Hello, I noticed in the patchnotes that the description of triggerbots was not specified too you triggering the spell. It said "Perfect Crime summons two Triggerbots, which override the location of where a TRIGGERED SPELL IS BEING CAST, and instead causes it to trigger twice, once from each of their locations.". Does this mean that it supports traps, since it does not specify you needing to trigger the spell, only that a triggered spell triggers at the location of the triggerbots instead? I mean, when casting traps, the traps are "casting" the spell when triggered and not you, witch means that the spell cast from traps are triggered spells. Does it not make sence it should work since the patchnotes are not specifying that you need to trigger the spell?

Trap "will use the skill for you when an enemy walks near it." Not a trigger (but I'm not sure)

Traps have nothing to do with triggers. Triggerbots can't interact with traps.
Well, I need more explanation with your reasoning, rather than just telling me that it has nothing to do with triggers. Description of a trap clearly states that it is triggered when an enemy is within trigger range of the trap. And like icetrap, the triggered skill is a spell triggered by the trap when an enemy is close enough. I just simply want your explanation instead of just stating it does not work.
Your triggerbots are for your triggered spells only. There would be numerous infinite loop scenarios if they weren't.

Traps themselves are not spells, nor do they trigger spells. The trap itself is what gets triggered, not the spell/attack it uses once that happens. That's just how they work.

So no, there's no interaction with triggerbots there.
I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.

And this is true even outside of PoE. Because "triggered" is a descriptive english word here, meaning "activated". A counterpart for mines "detonated". You ask for an explanation, but If you were really interested, you could at least compare blue lines of Trap gems and Trigger tagged gems to find differences, given that you already got answers. Traps themselves are triggered (english), they don't trigger (keyword) skills.

I remember when one of Freezing Pulse modifiers was phrased as "Projectiles lose Damage over time, dealing up to 50% less Damage by the time they dissipate", some people genuinely thought it was directly related to DoT with Decay or ailments involved.
Thank you for a well formulated explanation :)
I am very disappointed by this. I had my suspicions but after testing it yesterday they wouldn't relocate the trap explosions. Even though a trap is a spell and the text on the traps indicate that they are triggered. I guess because it is the trap triggering the spell and not the player. Either way, highly disappointing. This feels like a miss on a trap focused ascendancy.

The whole point of Perfect Crime was to give Saboteur something other than traps and mines
"buff grenades"

- Buff Grenades (Buff-Grenades)
