grace period and minion

I saw that there are, also very old topics on this subject, but I can't go through all of them, so can sb please tell me, why on earth, minions ruin the grace period? I'm an idiot for not really noticing it before, because it never bothered me that much, I usually try being tanky. And so, first time ever I decided to try The Feared. In themselves, they were easy enough for poison SRS, BUT once I died to the stupid degen shit because I was probably too excited to doing it first time (I'm a casual, not a young person), so I came back and lo and behold three times in a row I died ON ENTRY to Atziri fiery blast circle. Like there was NO grace period. I was MAD. I then got rid of all minions that stick around, left wih the skulls, and turns out I can dash away , because the bosses don't do shit for that moment.
Now, WTF?? How is one to play regular minions, that are permanently around, if they trigger bosses even before I freaking move?
It got me discouraged from minion builds for now. I can do all but Maven now, due to bad memory, or else not enough dps, I get to last memory game and the perish. Well, whatever, I did beat her once.
But that was f-ed, because I don't feel like I did anything wrong, it's like being punished for just having minions!

the situation was exactly as described, but testing it on simulacrum higher ways, indeed, not died till I DID sth. But it wasn't like that with Atziri, must be maybe her type of attack...

I don't play minion builds a lot, but I could have sworn that minions don't ruin your grace period, but they themselves don't have a grace period, so the minions will make the bosses do stuff, but they can't hurt you as long as you don't move yourself.

Again, could be wrong on this. I feel minions having grace period as well, would have been fair.

This is correct.

You cant move or do anything really, otherwise your grace period does end and your minions will get you killed.

I'm sorry, but I have just experienced sth to the opposite effect. I DID NOT DO anything, 3 times in a row. And instadied to red Atziri ciricle. There was no way to dodge, dash, no time, nothing. It's like I popped into an abyss and perished. Once I removed the perma-minions then, even though Atziri was in the same spot, I could very easy get away.

Also, in maps it's very rare to start a map with a very tough mob, like there, so the only time I thought there might be a problem when I heard being attacked and my life going down BEFORE I saw the map... So I definitely didn NOT even move. And so, I don't know how it's true, that minions will NOT get me killed if I don't move or stuff, because that's what's happened. And the best proof for me was that once I got rid of them, I was safe to get away and kill the rest swiftly.
