The new Vaal Lightning Arrow skill, why are people not talking about it?

I for one think it looks real cool with a huge screen clearing potential, some people even say that it will own single target if one set if up with slowing the projectiles down so my question is this:

Why have i not seen content creators theocraft builds around this skill?

It is just bad?

is it because the effectiveness of the potential single target is unknown?

Is it something completely different?

I were really stoked at starting out with it next league but i´m a pleb, i need a buildguide to function, nowaydude that i´m going to wing it without a comprehensive buildguide/pob lol

Unlike Vaal Ice Shot, VLA doesn't seem to have anti-synergy for scaling number of projectiles.

VLA also might be easier to play with Vengeance Cascade because LA's secondary effect goes all directions whereas Ice Shot's cones means we should be firing with our backs against the bosses in order for the cones from the returning projectiles to face in the direction of the boss? LOL.

Ice Shot has slightly higher damage and it would work better with Heatshiver though.

They both look like bait considering we could have saved the spare six-link for a ballista setup.
