I have reinstall in different drive and got the same error.

Having the exact same error, several times an hour. Very likely will happen during Delirium or loading into a new area.

I've tried D11, Volcan, D12. I've ran disk checking, updated graphics drivers, repaired integrity of game cache.

Running on
5900x / 6900xt.

Will update if any resolution.

Thanks I still found this issue. But I can launch game few times. FYI, I have repair windows but no matter.
My card is 6950XT.

Hi All,

I found that it is related to sound issue, I can launch game without any issue after I pulled out my analog sound device(default sound device and game is using it).

I checked game option and found that game select digital version properly.
So my analog sound device may cause this issue.

Following up for me I did a number of things:

Downloaded the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable packages
Downloaded the .Net framework repair tool:

- Still Crashed

Upgrade graphics from 23.3.2 to 23.4.1

- Still Crashed

sfc /scannow

- Still Crashed

delete C:\Users\<USER_DIRECTORY>\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile
uninstall the game
reinstall the game to different disk

This works, I don't know if the different disk was actually necessary (I moved it off of a new disk onto a very old disk). Hope this helps someone.

Wow that is a weird bug. But this did the trick for me.

Edit: did not have to physically unplug anything. just change the output in windows. was set to my hyperx headset, changed it to default sound device and all ok.

This fixed it for me, I did some changes to my Audio and after just selecting main audio as speakers instead of the tuned virtual audio it worked..
