Flicker + Impact (SlayerAscendency) +additional Melee range (?Question?)

So, there is the ascendency "impact" for duelist-slayer and there is also melee range in the skilltree nearby to it.
Now i come up with three questions. :P ( Im using Flickerstrike with an Two handed. ) Is the basic distance to the enemy while flicker and hitting the max range ? Or am i closer to enemy then max range? And : Am i counting closer (and gaining more damage by proximity) to the enemy by increasing the maximum range and beeing further away to the enemy ? (cause there isnt more to get then 15% Dmg while beeing close to enemy. Example: Base distance 1 vs 4 = both 15%+ with +13Range ? ) And : Is the area/base of beeing close extendet by extra range ? ---- +9 Melee strike range by skilltree. Additional +4 by Impact Ascendancy. 28 Range total ----- https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Impact --- Impact: "It also grants your melee attacks more damage the closer you are to an enemy." "Deal up to 15% more Melee Damage to Enemies, based on proximity" ----- Sry bad english, hope its understandable. (: ----- Edit: Just realized by increasing the Number in PoB> Configuration> ForEffectivDPS> MeleeDistance to enemy < To above 15 its decreasing the DMG But if I remove the extra range out of the tree, the number that reduces the damage remains 16.
