Heist Locker now needs to be unlocked after patch 3.20.2c

In the recent patch 3.20.2c a change was made that reads as follows:
"
The Horticrafting Station, Heist Locker and Expedition Locker are now placed in hideouts by default and can be moved but not deleted, similar to the Stash or Map Device. They will still be hidden until you have completed the relevant quest in each league.
This is a very good change when it comes to Horticrafting and Expedition objects in your hideout, as previously you needed to find them yourself from the hideout decorations list. For example a new player might've not even known about their existence without outside help.

Problem with this change arises with Heist Locker though. Now you are required to do the introduction quest and contract inside Rogue Harbour to be able to access Heist Locker inside your hideout. Side effect of doing this prerequisite is that it also enables the various quest contracts to start dropping from their sources. Previously, you were able to not have any quest contracts drop for you ever, as long as you didn't do the introduction quest in Rogue Harbour. This did not forbid your access to Heist Locker inside your own hideout.

Why is this worth making a post about? Well personally, I am not interested in running Heist in every league I play, and thus I also don't want to deal with the quest contracts either in such leagues. However, I am still interested in storing and selling the contracts, blueprints and rogue's markers that I obtain. This creates the conflict that if, in my hideout, I want to access Heist Locker, which is the absolute most convenient storage for Heist-related items, I am required to also enable quest contracts to drop and let them exist as an nuisance in my gameplay.

So for a player like myself, the options regarding Heist-related items are as follows:
a) Unlock Heist Locker and enable quest contracts to drop. Either complete the 20+ quest contracts or be tormented forever by them dropping.
b) Don't unlock Heist Locker in your hideout but keep using the one in Rogue Harbour instead. This obviously means that every single time you want to access anything inside Heist Locker, you need to go to Rogue Harbour.
c) Don't unlock Heist Locker and don't use the one in Rogue Harbour. Use an ordinary stash tab instead to store all your Heist-related items. However, Heist affinity doesn't exist for ordinary stash tabs and thus you need to manually put such items inside the tab instead of relying on an affinity to do it for you.
d) Don't bother with Heist-related items at all.

My personal wish is that Heist locker would be returned to function the way it did before, and not need the prerequisite quest to enable its access in hideout. I do want to access the Heist-related items and storage always, but I don't want to interact with the annoying quest contracts unless I choose to run Heist.

I would be surprised if you couldn't add these "tormenting" quest contracts to your loot filter. ;)

To my understanding players are unable to hide any quest items using their loot filter, so unfortunately this is not a viable solution :(. I could be mistaken though, so please do correct me if I'm wrong.

Throwing my concerns into this topic as well:

Seems that there has been discussion over the Heist quest contracts in the past and most of the solutions were about just not going to the Rogue Harbor ever.

Now the changes over the lockers raise this annoying topic to the surface once again. I am not sure how many people are even bothered to submit feedback over this matter but I assume it will be discussed in some form or another.

This hasn't been a problem before due to the ability to use Heist locker in your hideout, but this time when players who have plans to sell contracts, will eventually stumble into this topic. At least when they start CTRL -clicking their hard earned treasures into their stashes.

I like the changes the patch provides from the point of new players and the accessibility it provides minus the side-effect mentioned in this thread.

I hope this gets more attention from players and GGG saving the possible uproar it might bring up. Well, saving some of us from the annoyance at minimum.

I found this thread by search because I encountered the same issue. You can enable the affinity from the locker down in Rogue Harbor without running the quest contract (not sure if you have to take the contract but I did because I thought I'd have to run it) so you can at least click contracts into it from your stash. But the locker is still unavailable in the hideout so if you want to sell stuff, you have to retrieve it from the one in the Rogue Harbor. I just dropped the green contract in an area to get rid of it.

You want to sell contract....you need a normal premium tab as dump tab, that would be faster....

Faster selling maybe. Not faster dumping. No affinity means you have to switch tabs.

I'm not selling anyway. I just don't want to mess with heist now so I'll stash my contracts until I feel like running them.

this guy has a good point.
I love heist but he hates it.
gets in his way. does not give a rat fak about completing heist quests.

I was always a bit irritated that I had to complete one when I wasnt
in the mood or ready to. and I like heist.

fair is fair. find another way to encourage people who like heist to
complete their heist quests. this guy does not care. hed destroy the damned
contract rather than do it. either let him or make the quest contracts
stashable. and also ALL contracts stashable without doing the intro.

some people hate heist. thats ok. respect that.

You need to ask GGG to add heist affinity to normal premium tab, instead of circle around on heist locker......I really need two more quad to dump extra contract anyway

The other nice thing about the Heist Locker is it sorts your contracts/blueprints. I imagine the people that do sell them have different prices for different types. Not so easy to do that with dump tabs.

My currency tab affinity stays set when the league stash copies my standard stash. The Heist locker affinity should stay on too.

Like I said though I figured out how to turn on the affinity without doing the green contract so I'm not so inconvenienced as the OP and people trading their stuff. Just giving feedback and observations.
