[Community] Medium Core Development

My friends and I are long term Hardcore PoE players but as we've gotten older we've had less and less time to play PoE. Playing Hardcore requires a level of time commitment none of us have anymore. We also don't have the willpower to play Standard with a Hardcore mindset and end up goofing around and playing the league for a couple of weeks. We think there are lots of players who are looking for something that's not so punishing as HC, but also has some form of consequences, because we think consequences of death is also what makes PoE exciting. Because of this, I have developed a solution called ‘Medium Core’ with the main benefits of: - Not needing to spend 4-6 hours releveling through the campaign - Still being able to play with a Hardcore mindset because dying still means something How it works: - When you die an item in a random slot is chosen and is marked for deletion. If anyone in the Medium Core league is wearing an item that is marked as deleted they get a 'you're cheating' message posted in Discord. The way I've implemented Medium Core is shown in this picture: https://imgur.com/a/GMuTKLk Death detection is turned on at level 71 (rough point where you kill A10 Kitava and complete Merci Lab). We decided to use the Medium Core bot in a private league because we think trading for items makes it too easy to replace items. However, the bot doesn't have to be used in a private league, it can be used in whatever league you like. I would love to know if there is any interest from the community for Medium Core. I wouldn't like to play at all.
But it's fair to say that I don't really like hardcore too, like the huge majority of other players so... yeah. My honest opinion, there's many places where PoE could improve. I don't see why create a "soft-hardcore", if GGG is thinking as a bussiness (as they should think). Since the huge majority of their clients just don't enjoy HD content. Most people, just want to have fun making different builds, using the vast quantity of itens and options the game offers. Being sent to a league where trading is hard puts a dent on that. And there's the whole dinamic of playing in the new league, that is a "lost experience" when death on HD happens. Making it a game mode "hard" to enjoy. I don't see why a soft version of that would be any different. The penalty of death and the empty server would still be there. Wanna make a fun league? Get us a PvP league.
