Allow all classes to get all gems at start

at league start I want to play Poisonous Concoction as a witch but i cant get it so i will have to beg some random in global chat to buy it for me...this happens every league start, global chat is flooded with people asking others if they can buy gems for them...

Why not starting with a mule?

Play whatever class has access to the gems you want, rush the quests, stash everything including the Quicksilver and start your real build.

Takes a little bit of effort and maybe 30-60 mins at most to get PC but you do also get another Quicksilver and will consequently progress faster through the acts with whatever build you really want to play.


If you dont want that, wait until act3 library and buy the gem from Siosa.
Its not like there werent options to get it done without having to involve other players.

yeah i know all that but at league start i dont want to waste an extra hour on doing that
why does everything in this game need to be so tedious? leveling is already awful in this game, this just adds more to it.

Thats why I pointed out that you do get another Quicksilver.

Means you could and should have 3 of those half way through act2 and that allows you to blast through the acts and make up for the time investment.

Why bother with all those extra steps when GGG could just fix the completely unneccessary core problem? I mean yeah there is a workaround for most of the stupid issues GGG presents it's playerbase with in the name of "weight" or "friction" but why not address the illness itself instead of tinkering with symptoms? Or are you going to tell me that all those extra steps needed for everything in this game make the game better? Does needing ID scrolls for every single item give depth to the game? Do portals give depth? Does it make simu splinters more valuable that you have to pick up all 200 of them in a deli map one by one? Have the extra steps for gems any value for the game?

They already did improve it significantly.

In ye olden days gem vendors didnt even exist. You only got the questrewards and the rest was down to RNG. Spell Echo and Multistrike would sell for about 5c early in any given league.

Thats all gone now.
Is it perfect? No.
Its a compromise and its good enough for me.


I dont think GGG can "win" this anyways. If they tried to please a certain portion of the playerbase, they´d had to give them everything right from the start - not just gems but everything else too.
Free respecs at any given time and the ability to create lvl70+ once you completed the campaign at least once and then some.

Even if they did all of that, Im fairly certain it wouldnt be enough.
There would still be complaints. "Why do we still have to do this, that and the other? Cmon GGG, its current year, fix it already."

Ive seen this time and time again, which is why I dont support any of those demands.

I agree, whats the point of classes then if you can get any gem at the start, might as well select a class at level 70 and start there

So bascially lets reject any improvements because acknowledging flaws means jumping on a slippery slope is that it?

I mean it's great that they did some minor improvements here and there in almost a decade (and then introduced ruthless for make a 180) but it doesn't really change the fact that POE is absolute dumpster tier in terms of Qol. Even if you ignore everything else, like success rate, progression speed and all that stuff the sheer amount of clicks you have to do for anything is absurd. Compared to LE for example we aren't talking about 2 times or 5 times more. It's xxx times for looting and xxxx times more for crafting. Without even considering results and what level of result should be realistic, the effort for pretty much any result requires on average hundreds of times more mouseclicks, for what? CW says he wants this game to be something that's played for ever and yet he is doing everything in his power to ruin every joint in the bodies of his players to prevent them from playing it.
