Changes to make Krangle a viable mode...
Personally, I'm having a lot of fun with Krangled mode, its pretty exciting to see what the next node will be as you're levelling up and the anticipation is a real buzz.
Ive played WoW on a private custom server that has a "draft" mode, where every 2 levels, instead of choosing your skills from all available skills youre given 3 choices (in card form) which makes it a totally random build, its amazing. (The skills are from every class). I love games that are infinite in their possibilities (ie. procedural generation) and I think thats why Krangled really hit the spot for me, but I think it needs some changes. ANYWAY... I ask everyone thats playing / played Krangled to please reply to my post with things that YOU think would make it a viable mode for PoE. MY TWO CHANGES ============ 1 - I would like to see every node being random for EVERY character, so you cant plan anything! That way your build evolves as you play and level up and is different EVERY time. Sometimes you get a bad draw, but sometimes you get something uniquely amazing to play... 2 - Ascendancies need to let us see the actual ascendancy not the small node before, as its too expensive to allocate the small one to see the Ascendancy then have to respec, or if thats not possible, change the cost to 1 respec point not 5. I love would to see this go into normal private leagues as an option I currently play with a group of 5-10 players every league in a GSF and we we're talking about how cool it would be.
ideas we had. 1: make the tree "seed" number attached to each private league so you can have some build planning but can't go find it from the mass public but also encouges good team play working together 2: make nodes stay discovered once you reveal them 3: maybe a reduced cost to regerts from vendors (also don't know if it'd be as big of a deal in a longer event) Last edited by ajm304700#0851 on Mar 24, 2023, 6:41:09 AM
